they are pressed in and splined, when I broke one I took the hub off and used a torch to heat up the stud then sprayed it with a little wd40. After that I used a srewdriver and a hammer to tap it out. I used the same method to install the new stud.
The torx screws that hold the disc on can be a little tight if that is what you are talking about. Just make sure you have the right size bit (some feel like they are the right size but they arent). If I remember right they have locktight on them from the factory
