We've played a little with different lenghts. Running dual exhaust makes the headers crazy (equal lenght) and all the way out ruins the backflow the motor needs. You also have to have the ECU re-mapped. Also increasing the DB's (alot). We have lenghtened ours a little, not enough to lose the backflow pressure and not have the ECU re-mapped. We have had no problems!!! Hope this helps!!!

The length that we use is in racing application. We use the extended length with the stock OEM muffler. The DB's are 93 on the meter at 2000 rpms. Yes, we are getting a bit more HP. We will let everyone know when it's available. We like to make sure that everything works great before the release of any product. We would like to race with the exhaust a little longer, just to make sure!!! Also (no worries) we have found that the flange bolts that keep the exhaust to the motor have a tendancy to back out and/or loosen from vibration. Make sure you look at them every now and then. Thanx

lol..well being that this is an american made vehicle, one of the first things i did was go around and put blue thread locker on any bolt that was exposed!

I was wondering if there is any jobber bolt on exhaust systems for the XTZ 1000 like the Muzzy systems for the Kawasaki Teryx? My buddy has a Teryx and his Muzzy bolt on dual exhaust sounds awesome and does not noticabely rob any power. I am not overly concerned with noise levels but do not want to rob power from the stock prowler.

Muzzys has a new dual system for the XTZ with the same features as the Teryx system. Stepped equal length stainless headers. 2-1-2 design. It gained a solid 10%. Sound testing was slightly quieter than stock.
