Wow, found exactly what I needed to hear. I've been going through the ebrake problems and reclocked the arm to where there was a little drag. Problem is it caused the rear disk to get so hot it heated the whole rear diff up enough to where the diff fluid was coming out the accordian vent breather thingy. So I took the arm off and notched it with my grinder, then put a matching notch in the arm stop so that the e-brake will back off enough so that it doesn't drag. I'll buy a longer/stronger spring tomorrow to pull the arm up into the notch. Hopefully this will work. I noticed a little fluid coming from the caliper while it was cooling down so i'm sure my seals are shot from the heat.

Default Plumbing in brake Line

Help! I ordered a park lok from CB Performance and it has 1/8" fittings. What size is the arctic cat brake lines? What I am really asking is how did you guys plumb this in line? I am wanting to mount it in place of the existing e-brake and the lines will not reach anyways.

Where did you get the T for the brake line? What size? And what kind of brake line did you use?

I had my new lines made at a hose and fitting store here in phoenix. The store here made me new lines with banjo fittings.I seem to remember the park lock being a dash three fittings and tee.If i had it to do again i would do steel brake line just for the back brake caliper. The long braided is pricey. You should be able to do steel most of the way back and then say a foot of braided to the rear caliper.

Another thing i would do to anybody that owns a prowler is flush the factory brake fluid.I have had really good luck with at least a dot four brake fluid. The stock stuff boils or overheats really easy and leaks a lot easier that the better brake fluid. When the fluid gets really hot you will have no brakes unless you pump the pedal. That is enough to scare the crap out of you.

thanks for the info. the arctic cat prowler is one of the best utvs but they should have done a better job engineering this rear brake. it has been a nightmare for alot of prowler owners. 1 phat cat says he just plumbed the park lock in with a tee is this possible if so it sounds simple but I do not know how to splice the braided line. If anyone knows how to do this let me know.

They make brake line fittings so you can cut certain typs of braided brake line and install the fittings.I do not know if they make ones that will work with the coated brake line though.I think in order for that to work the teflon liner inside has to be the size the fittings are designed to work with.I have only seen those fittings used on non coated braided line that you make to length youself.
I did not use a tee in mine because my parkloc has a in and a out.So the rear out of the master cylinder to the in of the parkloc. And then the out to the rear caliper.I say in and out but really it just goes straight through.I guess you could plug one of the in or outs and use a tee like Joe is talking about.
A lot of hydraulic hose and fitting places can get you going in the right direction.
