can't help on the charge side of things as I'm tooo new to these

but do snow plow [full size 7.5' ] and I use Odyssey high amp batteries for sure power availability .. I my Dodge w/Cummins that comes factory with 2 750 amp batteries I now run 1 2150 amp Odyssey, in my CJ7 with the Meyers Plow I run a 1700 amp Odyssey , on my G/N trailer with a winch I use a 1700 amp battery also as it sits for long periods between use .. do some reading about what you can get in amp power v/s size and you'll be impressed.

Arctic Cat 1000 60 Amp alternator

The above link is to a discussion on the UTVCRAP alternator kit. One of the questions is about the application working on a 650. Note that the method of attaching has changed from the first photo in the post to a new mount.

Aftermarket Battery or dual batteries. Not sure if the alternator kit fits the 650
