Block Heater?

Anybody used one of these on their prowler?

Arctic Cat 1996-2014 Liquid Cooled ATV & Prowler Engine Block Heater - 1436-432

I just used the block heater on my tractor for the first time yesterday and last night when i went to start it....wow what a difference. Fired up immediately, effortlessly....and the heater was warm right away too.

I have a cab and heater for my prowler, just haven't gotten them put on yet....primarily got them so I could take my 2-year-old daughter to do chores with me in the cold while the wife stays inside with our baby. If I could get it to spit heat out right away that would be great!

I'm going to order it. Already going to have the coolant system all torn apart for the heater install, might as well add it.

they also make inline heaters that you install in the water line as well as oil heaters

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

heater shipped today.

I guess this isn't a "block heater" so to say,...it's an inline heater for the coolant that splices in. Hope it isn't a piece of junk

I use a circulating heater all the time,it helps but I'm going to put a heater on oil pan.It will be a challenge as it is magnetic but I'm sure there will be a way to do it.

That is a good idea, cold oil is not much help on start ups. I'm still surprised that the pin on the oil pump holds up when the oil is really cold.

Haven't been able to install oil pan heater and the ciculating heater only seems to be warming the rad.Could it be installed backward?
