INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Is that with the motor running? Do you have a volt meter? Where are you getting the reading? If the meter reads normal at the battery (Engine Off), and then raises to 25 volts when running, I'd start with the voltage regulator as a likely culprit! Or like Gary Said "Check the meter" LOL

It is on the dash panel gauge, as soon as I turn on the key, before motor starts. Then remains at 25 volts when running.

Do you have a mult-meter tool? If so, check your voltage at the battery with it running. If it is still that high, agree the likely culprit is the voltage regulator.

I was thinking the same thing! But the info would work for any unit!

I'll have to look at mine closely! All the data shows up when the key is first turned!
