Remote Battery Posts.....

Hey, for those of you that have installed remote battery posts, for boosting/voltage check/easy access to battery power, I'd be very interested in hearing/seeing where you mounted your posts. AND........ where did you source them from? I'm finding here in Canada that I'm having a hard time tracking them down? I have found some on Amazon at $25/pair...... is that about what they're going for? Also curious as to what gauge of wire you ran to the posts?

thanks a tonne!!!!

I got mine from Amazon, that price sounds about right. I mounted mine right under the front drivers front seat. If I was to do it again, I would go somewhere else with them. I have to unhook them to get the floor out. Turned a 10 minute task into an hour job. I used pre-made 8 gauge battery cables. There are pics and a post somewhere on the forum here.

Thanks Bryan and Gary........I'll have a look at those place Gary and see what they have for styles. And Bryan I'm glad you said something about not mounting under the seat......that is where I was thinking of mounting them..... Now I will have a look at where else will be handy and not interfering with taking the machine apart.

I added mine to the storage tub up front. I used #2 AWG (I had a bunch left over from other projects) Easy access without lifting the hood. Found mine at Summit Racing

So RD.......I can't picture how you've placed your posts in the front tub without needing to lift the hood....... probably forgot to tun on the brain this morning.......well, at least if you ask Mrs. Paxx!!

The posts come through the side wall of the tub, just above the driver side front tire. I added a 6 circuit fuse panel in the tub, the remote posts made perfect sense (at least to me! LOL) I have two sets of posts, one for main battery, one for aux battery
