Has anyone had this problem? Ignition?

So I just replaced the ignition switch in my 2013 Prowler 550. Old switch worked but would get stuck in the start position. So I ordered a new one. Plug and play I thought? Put new one in accessory’s turn on but will not turn the starter in start position. Put old one back in thinking maybe bad switch? Now that one is doing same thing. Auxiliary comes on but no start. So I think ok starting solenoid weird that it would just go when I switch out the ignition but what ever. Get a new solenoid put it in same deal????? Jump the solenoid it fires right up. I’m so confused at this point can anyone help?

this sounds like the harness that plugs into the switch may have a loose connection. i may be way off on this but i had a similar issue when i pulled my headlight switch. no high beams when i plugged it back in. i had to use a small needle nose pliers to push the wire in further and it came alive.

I don't think its the switch. Recheck the wiring. If still the same, look at the ignition relay.
