Batteries going dead

I had my XTZ running well finally, I keep it on the RPM setting most the time and the Rpm's were up and down all over the place, then the rpm gage went to zero and just sat there. The MPH still works just no rpms. And the volt meter I added started showing 10 or less and the main battery went dead. Any ideas? bad stater? bad ground?

How old is the battery? What accessories were you running? Has the battery been sitting a long time without charging?

Recheck the wiring you just did. Did you leave a wire off, loose, bad connection???

the 11% was from a new battery charger, it tells you all kinds of stuff about the battery as it charges it. borrowed from a friend with deeper pockets than me

Rick just get a single yellow top optima and you will solve your battery problem. You may have a bad stator as well which you should be able to get replaced under warranty.

ya I am running a orange top optima and the stock battery, I have them running in series hooked to each other. The orange top said 74% and it still didnt start or run the vehicle. so I am going to a switch thing to charge and use the correct battery i guess, just feels like a stator or ground to me.

I am wondering what the tach does when the stator goes bad? does it effect it like this? could just be a ground i guess?
