Finally Got my Tail lights the way I want them.

Since we have a permit to drive in town I wanted my tail lights to operate just like a car. Had to install a turn signal/brake light converter for trailers to get them to work with the 6" LED lights.

Thanks, I had a couple of small amber LED's for turn signals but they weren't very visible during the day. My wife was nervous about me cutting holes in the bed so I did it while she was gone. Surprise!

There just 6" recessed LED lights I picked up at Wal-Mart for around $15 each.

I just used a signal stat 900 series directional stick from NAPA . I did however notice when you hit the brakes with the blinker on it flashes opposite of the rear and when you let off it is in sync..Wierd

I just used a "on-off-on" switch to control the signals, tapped into the factory tail light for the brake/tail function, and then used a Orscheln Farm and Home - LED Compatible Taillight Converter for trailers to reduce the number of output wires to connect to the tail lights.

The front turn signals aren't LED I noticed they flash at a different rate than the rear, think I'll change them also. I'm probably going to use two separate lighted rocker switches for the turn function so I can flip them both on for hazard lights.

They should hold up, they're sealed LED's made for trailers. We have similar lights on the tail board of our ambulances.

Today I'm patiently waiting the delivery of my Eagle Plow
