?
Do you have a volt gauge?

What is your batt. voltage when all accessories on.

I just lost a stator and thought it might be due to my optima being too big of a load for the stator.

I have a heater and stereo. When I turn my heater fan on it pulls down below 12.5 with the water pump and stereo on.
Then using the winch for plowing I think is too much for the stator.

Just wondering how yours holds up to the load.

volt gauge

no i dont have a volt gauge but that would be good idea. the battery kit charges the main battery first and then the 2nd battery only when the main bat is charge, so i have a feeling that i will have to but the 2nd bat on a charge when i am done riding.

There is a lot of wire could you imagine all that under your seat

I did some research into the stator/charging issue/running accessories...

The bike's stator will burn out very quickly - as riddler said, winching too much will burn it out as the winch needs more juice then the stator can provide.

There is a place in Quebec Canada that can up your stator by about 30-40% more power, but the risk of burning it out is still there.

Im part retarded and went all out and put a truck winch in my prowler, so I have two deep cycle batteries that I just charge when I get back home. Which in all honestly after a good night ride, you should top up the bike's battery as well.

I would install a volt gauge, get a nice marine one for 20 bucks.
