Factory Winch Switch Help

I'm helping a buddy of mine install a Warn winch on his 550 prowler. It had no winch or factory switch. He ordered one off E-Bay but it didn't come with a wiring diagram showing what goes where. There's 3 prongs, I'm going to assume on of them go to accessory/keyed power and the other 2 go to the winch selonoid but I have no idea which. Any chance one of you guys might have a winch switch diagram or know off hand how to wire this thing up? Thanks again,

Daryle

TBird.. I really apreciate the info. But unfortuantely that's not quite what I need. My buddy had the same winch I have (superwinch) and it's all hooked up and working. He ordered the factory Arctic Cat winch switch to install in the dash. It came in a box with NO wiring diagram at all. The switch has 3 male prong connectors on the back with NO labels at all. So we can pretty much assume that 2 of the connectors go to the winch selonoid and one to keyed power. But we have no idea which goes to what. Our plan is to cut the handle bar/roll cage mount swith off the 3-wire cable assembly the came with the superwinch and replace it with this one. But we have no clue where to connect each wire on the bacl of the factory switch. Thanks again though! I appreciate the help!

Daryle, on mine the center one is connected to the battery terminal side of the solenoid, then the in/out (top/bottom)prongs are connected to the two loose wires coming from the solenoid. Run a jumper from these wires to the two prongs then test, if winch runs opposite way of button, just switch wires. Check blurred pic attached. If you wire center to ignition switch and something happens to ignition switch you may not be able to use winch if you need it. My winch is wired this way see diagram. Hope this helps.

No problem, I would like to get a switch like the one you show to fit on the dash panel, then I could use it or the wired remote switch as well, depending on what I was doing.

That's what I'm doing with his. The wired "remote/hand-held" switch plug is mounted in the glove box and that's where the switch will stay. So you can just open the glove box, pull it out, use it, and just shove it back in when your done. Here's where we got the switch from. It was brand new, cheap, and the guy shipped it quick!
