Lowrance Endura Safari

So wandering BestBuy in Costa Mesa I asked about topo and outdoor units. The chica suggests the Lowrance unit, which they don't have in stock. She looks it up on their computer, and it shows up as ~$60.00... From their usual of $329.00... So it turns out they are discontinued, and BB is getting rid of their final stock.

Lowrance has their refurb units on for $250. gpscentral.com has them for $450.00! So, if anyone is looking for a handheld unit these might be a cheap option for the next few days.

Having said that - has anyone used these?

Cheers
Craig

That's the one. I'm picking up a couple of these before we head back to the GWN next week (Great White North

They get mixed reviews, many good, some ok, a couple bad, but for the price i think it'll make a good addition velcro'd to the dash...

I looked at a bunch of sites. Quite a few good, a few OK, and a few bad. The bads weren't all that bad or weren't really bad. I balanced the reviews with the fact they were reviewing a $400 unit, and I'm getting a $60 unit. I can tolerate some fluff, so long as it shows me how to get back to home base we will get along fine, and my reviews will be mostly ok
