AfterMarket Winch Install in a 08 650 XT Prowler

Hello Everyone, I just received my winch, after some research and reviews from other members I decided to buy the Runva Talon winch 3500 lbs, found many good reviews on this brand so hopw to have this installed this week, but i have a few questions. I was looking at the stock plate and looks like I do not need to purchase any mount plate to get it installed, is this accurate? also was planning on buying the ebay winch switch and see if I can have this installed as well, any suggestions?

as long as the mounting holes line up ,you should be all set,,good to go...some guys beef up the mounting plate but I think for general use .with that winch ,you should be fine with the factory mount..

Thanks for the advice I hope the holes line up, it comes with a universal mounting plate but the flate part of the plate does not bolt or sit to anything it is suspending in the air so it doesnt look right, I will look into this once I get home.

Most winch kits have a reversing relay to power the winch, hooking one up is fairly easy. Need to use the main power lead to power the relay, a control circuit (winch switch), and the optional handheld remote. Some units are wireless. A good grounding wire and two power leads to the winch (forward, reverse). I think there are wiring diagrams on the forum. Good Luck

When I was looking around for winches, most of them fit the prowler mounting plate holes.
