Bench seat swap for a Prowler 650

I stopped by to get a boat impeller for my boat motor today, which is also a local Arctic Cat dealer. I was looking at the new Prowlers and noticed the newer Prowlers have a bench seat. I was wondering if it might work in the older models. I know there would be some modifying but if it wasn't too much it would be worth it to me. They look to be the same width and other than changing the shifter to be on the dash it looks like it would be doable. Has anyone else tried this or know if it could work?

Don't think you'll have any luck with that, the only Prowlers with the bench seat is the HDX and on those models I think the engine sits father back. I wish there was a way to make it work I could use that 3rd seat.

True the engine does set back farther on the HDX,I also think there would be a lot of modifying on the shiftier.

Yeah it was the HDX. I'm not not up to date on any changes but I still think it could be possible if the seat was high enough to clear the carb. I would definetly be interested even if it was a little pricey. My brother has a Ranger and that bench seat is nice. It may not be doable but would definitely be worth it

the engine in the hdx sits farther back.

moving the shifter is no easy task, i did and what a pain it is.

also the engine does sit up too high to put in a bench seat.
