I'm Baaaack

Well hello again gents!

Sorry it's been a while. I've been stupid busy the last several months and haven't made the time to get on much to post. Hope everyone is still doing well and getting their machines geared up for this season.

Sadly, I haven't much to report on any new progress to modding my machine. I did however end up trading in my Dakota and getting myself a bigger truck to tow and haul my toys around in. Picked up a nice Ford Powerstroke King Ranch. Decided if I was going to go big, I might as well spoil myself with a nicer interior to go along with it. So far I love it. It's my first time crossing over to Ford territory but I've always loved the looks of their full size trucks. Safe to say my pops has been giving me grief for the last several weeks (He's a Cummins guy) lol.

Anyway, I recently cleaned the heck out of my shop and am ready to pull the ol Prowler in and start getting her prepped.

Custom gauge plate built by RD. Peel 7 Seal lined doghouse.

lol, ya. Glad you all didn't snuff out the candle. I did my best to try to find a good deal on a Cummins quad cab, but damn are they going for a premium these days. Being mechanically inclined though, I wasn't scared to pull the trigger on this Powerstroke when I found it. Made sure I did my homework on it. EGR (being the most common issue with the 6.0l) was replaced and upgraded with the Bulletproof model and all warranty recalls had been addressed according to the OASIS report. Man this thing pulls hard! Can't believe I waited this long to get myself a diesel.

hey hey now

the 6.0 had some tranny issues in some of them also .. keep an eye on yours. one of my very old friends [over forty years now] had one that the tranny gave him enough problems he did the lemon law thing with it [he's in California] , every time he went up to Reno pulling his car box trailer he had an issue with it [several times a year] sorry I don't remember what the problem was though. if ya want I can find out easy with a text to him.

funny how every brand has particular issues , I know each model change/generation change the Dodge/Cummins has had some lil PIA issue .. worst being the "53" blocks that cracked

Duramax also is included in this model / generation issues too

MSN listed 15 used vehicles to avoid. Ford Diesel certain years was listed for hard shifting, and gear changes. I'm still a ford fan!
