Tailgate Cables

I have a set of replacement tailgate cables. How do you get the original ones off? The screws just spin.

Sorry Murph, I can't focus on the question at hand with the avatar you have...

Arctic Cat Prowler Desert Race XTZ: ITP BajaCross tires on ITP Beadlocks, Beard Super TZ Seats, Crowe 5pt harnesses, King Off-Road Racing Shocks, Custom Racing Chassis with 7 inch longer wheelbase, +5 Suspension set at 16 Front and 17 inches Rear inches travel, UTVINC did the tube bending

you have to take the whole tailgate apart ..... they strip everytime

Does anyone make a tailgate net so you can remove the tailgate completely?

Johnny thanks for the reply. The ones that attach to the box must be stripped too. How do you get at the nuts? Do you have to take the box off? How hard is this to do?
