wandering all over

went for a tour on the road today and noticed that my xtx ill all over the road like a fat kid on smarties. I was wondering if anyone can gimme a quick "how to" on setting the toe?? I have heard that 1/4-1/2" toe IN is the way to go, but do i have to pull the tie rod ends out??? or is there a way to do it without removing them??? thanks

I set mine at 1/8 to 1/4 of toe in and seems to work pretty good. You do not have to pull the tie rods to adjust them. Just loosen the jam nut at the tie rod end and then turn the tie rod to achieve what you want. Oh yea I set mine with one or two people sitting in it. That way it is set at what is true ride height.

I believe the AC service manual says that you are supposed to set the toe to 1/4 - 1/2 inch OUT.

And yes, the wheels stay on while you do it. You just loosen the jam nut and spin the tie rod until its right, then re-tighten the jam nuts.

This is a screen shot from the AC service manual.

SandChirs is usually right on the money. Let me through this at you. I adjusted mine with no one in the front seat and it drives great. If you take a measurement and the flex the suspenion you will get a different measurement. Just my 2 cents
