Winch Mounts?..........

I have the Arctic Cat sport front bumper for my XTZ but i cannot find a winch mount to fit the bumper. AC's page in the accessory catalog has a winch kit but doesnt elaborate on if a mount plate is included..

Can anyone help me?

I thought the winch mount was part of the machine and would work with the sport bumper.......

I'd like to know, because that would be the one I would buy.

Do you have any pics of your's?

Well, i just opened the box on the bumper and have not actually mounted it yet but i see no way of mounting a winch in there. The bumpers i see on the web like this have a aluminum plate without the roller fairlead. Im just wondering if this is an extra part im missing or maybe a separate part i need to buy.....

winch

I have the stock bumper on my xtz.I took off the plastic cover over the bumper. The winch mounting plate is behind the bumper ( in front of the radiator).Right now I have the fairlead mounted on the winch, I'm going to put a plate out front later. You cut out the plastic blank so the cable goes through in the mean time.My bumper came stock with xtz. Don't no for sure witch you have.I also bought the winch that was made for the xtz. Good luck.

That is right. Take out the plastic grill and bolt the winch right in there. You can use a roller fairlead or if you are using winch rope you can bolt a plate in the front. All bolt on app.

With the sport bumper, you must take off the stock bumper and you will see behind the stock bumper and plastic the winch mounting plate. When using the sport bumper and a winch you are supposed to buy an extra fairlead, the one that comes with the winch is installed on the winch mounting plate, the other is installed on the sport bumper. The aluminum plate in the picture is an extra piece, not part of the bumper kit. Any other questions?

Eaac, Is the bumper that comes on the XTZ the one you call the sport? I did take that one off and put the AC bumper that i had on my 06 xt.
