First timer @ motor rebuild

Reading the service manual it said you need use a puller to remove the internal clutch assembly but mine slid right off ..... is this cool? Check out the cam gear on the crank it's roached

Hows the oil pump? The only thing I can think of that would cause this is a bad timing chain.

The oil pump looks OK and spins fine. My thought now is if the motor was low on oil you would have some type of oil light come on ,right. Is there a oil pressure sensor on the motor. If there is then you would think the motor would not run when the pressure is to low. I,m going to get a whole new motor now and hope that I don't screw up the installation .

Thats a good question, do these motors have low pressure shutdown safety?
