Battery thread ???

was looking for the thread [a sticky thread] re. battery replacements suggestion and fitment..

here is a link to Odyssey showing the many configurations of the PC925 ..ODYSSEY Batteries - Batteries, Auto / LTV

I was looking as I know most Odyssey's come in several terminal config. and housing config. [like a metal case] .. I'm going to get a PC925 for my Arctic Cat XTZ .. BTW SHOP THESE online before you buy as the prices are all over the place and many also offer free shipping.

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

I have a question on the 2006 650 Prowler. Does the secondary clutch have the threaded bolt holes to open the clutch? If not what do you use?

RD there is no holes to open up the secondary clutch on a 2006 model, some guys say you take a block of wood and wedge it in the pulleys to spread it,but you can drill a hole and thread it.

2015 A/C Sport,With a few add ons..........

That is what I was wondering. I stripped the hole out on mine, but not that big of deal, just drilled and retapped it for a 1/4 X 28, and did both holes while I was at it. Looking at a 2006 and was wondering about the clutch.

I bought a Big Crank Battery from Batterymart.com
Its a sealed Battery with 340 CCA (magna power AGM) ETX18L
Only 95.00 delivered in 3 days, also has great warranty.
Very happy so far, and like the side post option for all my wires (winch etc..)
Was debating on a Duracell sealed battery, but this one has more CCA , is cheaper in price, and is American made!

2008 Prowler 650XT,
Sedona Rip saws, Warn 3000lb winch, PIAA HID, LED aux lighting, Custom Pre Runner bumper light bar, A/C hard top, Arctic Thunder Custom Snorkel kit , AC suspension seats, Big Gun exhaust, Full Aluminum skid plates, Dynatech CDI, voltage-oil-temp gauges,

Tom

I've had such great luck with Odyssey I quit looking at other brands .. guess I should continue looking as the need arrises ...

I just bought a 925 amp Odyssey for the Arctic Cat as the factory one finally gave up this winter and I'm about to start getting it ready for summer use and a long adventure trip. don't want battery issues on that trip
