Need Prowler 1000 advice

found a really good deal on a 09 XTZ 1000 leftover so it is brand new. Thinking of going that route or I also like the Turbo one for sale on here by MCX. I had a RZR before but just didn't like the size and the fact of it having no storage. My wife isnt as keen on the Prowler because it has no protection on the sides of the machine and it looks easy to fall out. Plus she doesn't like the roll bar as well.

So this is what I am looking for and would appreciate if someone could point me in some directions.

Doors of some sort. I like the looks of the sides on that HCR one on the main page. I bet them are side mounts and not doors but man if those were doors I would be ALL OVER them!

Does anyone make some add in bracing for the roll cage? I seen a harness bar and think that is a good idea and I think I will be getting some harnesses. for it. I don't want a full on cage as I plan on hunting with this and bed access is a must.

If I dont get the Turbo, what engine mods are a must for this thing? Intakes, exhaust, CDI's??????

Get the MCX car it is a very good price. The extra power will help you in the dunes and desert on the big hill climbs.

I agree, get the MCX Prowler... as far as doors go UTV Crap makes two different styles that dont open and Prestige Motorsports makes a nice set of full opening doors.

I wouldn't worry about the roll cage, it is a government certified ROPS, so it holds its own, not very many SidexSides are ROPS certified.

Sako, take the 09 Prowler. I purchased mine and after some initial problems with the rear axel clips have not had any problems. I absolutely love it. Plus, there isn't anything out there that will be able to keep up with you.

I live out in So California. I had my cage built by Mike and the Gang at Prestige Motorsports. Great cage and had suicide doors installed. Pay the extra money and have a quality cage built. I have rolled mine onto its top and there was no movement at all.

I will try to post some photos of the Prowler. Let me know what you decide.

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I called and talked with Chris at MCX and I am very interested in that machine. He gave me the guys cell I need to talk to I guess to work out the deal. I am just trying to work out the deal with my wife. I think that is a heck of a machine for the money. Either way I will be buying one. I know if I get this turbo machine I will be doing new seats and adding harnesses. I will probably be doing that either way SO anyone have a good lead on some used seats or a great buy on some, give me a shout. Thanks again everyone!
