2006 650 prowler xt coolant?????

over the weekend i had my prowler out in az it was about 70 deg out and the over temp light was coming on. i saw no sings of leak but added about 40 ounces of water twice. has any one had the head gaskets go and leak and burn it no sings of water in oil and not blowing out of the over flow tube. thanks for the help

what will happen if i run it with out a t-stat has any one tried this????????

fluid is going somewhere, you sure its not puking out overflow?

i took out the t-stat because i wasn't getting flow until well after the temp light and the fan would not come on because it was not hot enough at the sensor at the bottom of the rad after that it seems ok. I'll see what happens. does any one know the life span of these water pumps????

You should put a new thermostat in. If you run without, the collant will flow to fast thru the radiator and not cool down.

Hey lars, mine started doing the same thing. I did notice that it mostly did it when I was just putting. I found that if I gave it a good rev or two, that the thermostat would open, and the indication would go out. I'm looking to replace my t-stat also.
