hello everyone.

hey guys,

i have an 09 prowler XTX 700 EFI and i was wondering if you guys might have any insite on how to get my axels/seals problem fixed.

the prowler has 400 miles on it and it has been in the shop 4 times for leaking seals/axels/front diff issues.

i have had the front differential replaced, 3 right axels, and 4 seals

one axel broke and the others fell out and damaged themselves beyond use.

first two times they couldnt get it to seal correctly.

second two times the axel has fallen out.

would a limiter strap on the A-arms stop this thing from jerking the axels out?

i just brought it to a different shop this time im done with the last dealer so maybe they will just "install it all properly" and it will work.

i havnt heard of too many axel/diff issues in the 09's and the few i have heard of have been able to solve it. i gotta have my fav toy rolling tough so i can down me a moose this year!! thanks for your time and RIDE ON!

any ideas?

Friend of mine had the same problem, you need to pull the axle, there is a small circle clip on the end of the axle that goes into the diff. Pull the small circle clip off and get a rubber oring that will sit inside of the channel that the circle clip dose. Install the oring and put the circle clip over the top of it. This will ensure that the circle clip will snap into place when you reinstall the axle. That circle clip is the only thing that holds the axle in and it's not strong enough. Make sure that you hear the clip seat in to the diff firmly. That should take care of the problem. As for the seals, drain the front diff. and refill with a sytheic gear oil and leave it about a half inch below the fill hole and see if that stop's the leaking seal problems.
