Waiting for this to happen to me!

I jacked up the Prowler to replace my shock bushing with Rick the Rockets and found the front lower spring adjusters had finally started to let go! The tabs are pushed under. Getting ready to head to Black River Falls to ride the trails in 2 days and its gonna be 10 days for the new ones to get here, so I used two 1 5/8 exhaust clamps to keep them from popping all the way down. I tested it by jumping some ditches and its held up, so far. So, it may be worth a few of you with this style of shock to pop a couple 1 5/8 clamps in your tool box, just in case! Looking for a couple XTZ shocks yet. If you hear of any take-offs out there, let me know!

I had to replace one of my rear shocks, one of the tabs broke off and the collar slipped over and pushed the other one in.

From what I can see, the tabs looks fine on mine. I'll be able to see them better when the adjuster collars get here and I get it apart. Took it out again last night and beat it pretty hard. I think the repair (lol) will hold through our BRF trip.

Seemed to work fine! This afternoon I noticed that my headlights were on Bright, all the time. I hit the switch to turn them off and the damn switch is broken. Now they won't turn on and I have to have them tomorrow night at BRF. So I called the nearest dealer, they have the switch. They also have a pair of lower shock collars, so I yanked off the front shocks and will get up at 0630 drive an hour to get them replaced as well as pick up the new switch. Then get home, put it all together, pop it on the trailer and hit the road for Black River Falls, by 1100. That's the game plan! I'll have a spare pair of lower collars, when the new set I ordered gets here. But, at least the Prowler will be fixed right for the big trail ride! As long as nothing else happens, that is...

I thought my collars looked bad, but after seeing yours they look new! I really should replace all of mine, the material they're made of seems to be too soft for the beating they take.

Ya, mine were about ready to exit existence. I got the to the dealership at 0715 this morning, they had me out the door by 8. I got home, got the Prowler back together, took it for a short test beating and had it on the trailer by 930. Since I'm on vacation, I even took a 5 minute Bud Light break! Way ahead of schedule and leaving in a few minutes! That BL tasted perty good. One more before hitting the pavement.... Its 5 O'clock somewhere!

If anyone needs these in a pinch, I have a spare pair. I have $38.00 in them, will sell for the same, plus shipping cost. Just FYI, if yours go south and you need a pair, badly!
