gear shift adjustment?

is there a way to adjust the gear shifter so that you are actually in low gear when the handle is in the forward most low gear position, and not in the high gear position? likewise, so that you are in neutral in the neutral position and not in high gear?

thanks in advance.

Yep, loosen the shifter arm from the side of the transmission, it takes a starred socket. Move the transmission stub shaft, down into the low range position. Put the lever back on the stub, in that position and tighten the bolt. Go through all gear ranges to make sure all engage. Super simple, and it may only be off be few teeth to make a huge difference.

Place the shifter in the low gear, take the cable off the shift arm, make sure it is in low gear by hand, take the shift arm off the spline and rotate as needed to align with the cable end, put the cable back on the arm and use the hex ends for minor adjustments.

Just like adjusting the P brake with the caliper lever. AC built Prowlers with the common mechanically inclined person in mind, didn't they? No wonder they have lost so much ground to Can Am and Polaris. I hope Textron takes it in a new direction. 200 foot pounds for an axle nut? A gorilla standing on a torgue wrench might make the wrench click!

Some of the AC torque specs are for Thor/Hercules type folks! 200 FT Lbs is a ball buster!
