Can you please give me plenty of reasons...

...not to buy a new 2018 Polaris Ranger 1000xp? Except from the money, and the fact its not an Arctic Cat?
2018 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 - UTV Guide

Been a lot back and forth with my prowler last couple of month. First a shot piston and rings, then some carb issues. That said, it seems to work good now. While it was broken I started looking around for other UTVs, just for fun. Then I found the brand new Ranger. Have to admit i really like it, just by reading about it and looking at pics.

The Polaris dealer (that reapaired my prowler) actually offers me a really good price for my prowler if I swap it in for a new Ranger. Based on todays curency (norwegian kroner/USD) they offer me almost 7000USD for my 08 Prowler (inkluded the warn plow system). Thats more money than I bought it for 4 years ago. (Norwegian prices are high in general).

It will fit my needs. In fact, the 650 fits my needs also. Im simply so tempted by something that powerful (and new), and with less worries for the next years. My biggest issue is to convince my wife. The only reason she might be ok with it is the 3 seats (we are having our first child (a little boy) in a couple of months and need another seat!).

I'm the exact same way. We have been looking at Generals, Reepers and will look at the new Havoc. But, I love my Prowler, its exactly what I want, but rides to rough for the wife, and is too god damn noisy for my tinnitus! I'm working on both solutions. Just put in glass windshield and rear sliding windows, looking for hard doors, for the noise. And looking at King shocks for the ride. I figure I can put another $1500.00 to $2000.00 in mine. As long as the motor hangs in there, I'ld rather keep it than spend $20k on a new General or whatever. But, then again, if I lived in Norway and had the cash flow you guys do, I would buy a new one in a heartbeat! Ok, you can Trump me on that one!!!

Congrats Johan! I'm like Bryan on the Prowler! Even if I spend 5,000 on upgrades, I'm still ahead!

Wow! $7000 is more than I paid for mine in 2011 with a full soft cab! That would be hard to turn down but the $14,000 to $20,000 to replace it makes it a tough decision. Needing that 3rd seat is probably the best reason to upgrade for family outings and the Ranger will be a lot quieter on the baby's ears.

Wish I had a bit more of that cash flow! If I had I would for sure not bother asking you guys!
