Oil Change - Skid Plate Blocks Oil

Do you guys have to remove your skid plate in order to change your oil? 2014 Prowler 700

I just got done changing mine. For some reason, the hole in the skid plate isnít aligned with the drain plug. When I remove the drain plug, it spills all over the skid plate. Now I gotta take it off and clean it up. Maybe someone put it on upside down or something. But Iíd have thought that it could only go on one way.

Thoughts?

Same problem with mine, I just tape a piece of poster board in place to help funnel it the right direction.

Iíve been looking all over the internet to see if arctic cat has this documented anywhere. I came across an oil change video on everyoneís favorite video website.

It looks like their prowler drains without doing anything to the skid plate.

The plot thickens.

I see a big difference on mine from the one in the video, my drain hole is round like all the rest, not oval. Everytime I'm under mine I keep telling myself I need to make the hole a little bigger!

Yeah, I agree with you guys. Iíll just cut the hole bigger.

I thought the oil would clear the hole. I knew it would be close. But after he drain plug dropped, you can imagine the look on my face when oil started spilling all over.

Oh well. Happy hump day.
