Quick question about actuator.

Received my actuator in the mail today and just plugged it into the prowler to try it out. When i push the 4wd button the actuator sucks the pin into the acutator and when i push back to 2wd it pushes the pin outward towards the front. I am thinking this is backwards due to the fact that they may have disassembled this used actutator when in 4wd. Just wanting to make sure that to engage the 4wd the pin need to be pushed outwards. Which is very easy to change by seperating the actuator and rolling the gear back until its all the way inward. Thanks

I am not sure, what happens when you push or pull the lever in the diff?
