Thanks all !!!

Hi, been a while since my last post. Long story short: When plowing snow this winter my 2008 650 for the first time in it's life just died. Shot piston. Aprox 700hours and 10.000km. My local dealer is Polaris (nearest AC is far away) and they gave me a good offer for my old 650. Then I bought the the brand new 2018 Polaris Ranger 1000xp. And ofcourse A LOT of accessories. A full cab, heater, window wiper, hydraulic "joistick" up/down/ left/ right for the snow plow mounted on the gear shifter, 4500ibs winch, led bar on the roof, led cubes rear, extra set of 14" wheels for my old Bighorns with studs for winter, two HDMI conections for my phone/ipad etc. And probably more.
It is not fair to compare the two macines. It is just two different things. The new one has so much more power and comfort. The old 650 still scores a little higher in charisma.

Guess this is my last thread in this forum. My knowledge on UTVs was near zero when i joined the forum 4 years ago. This forum have saved me for LOTS OF MONEY in workshops bills through those years. I dont know what I have not done on my 650 thanks to you guys. Special thanks to RD. And to MLH also. And many more.

Greetings from Norway!

Pics under is the last one of my 650, and the first of my ranger (with the 650 i background).

Don't be a stranger and let know how the new ride performs! Nice setup you'll be plowing in style and comfort, how quiet is it inside the cab?

It is nice and harmonic at idle, but when you push the pedal... No, when it comes to noise its not worth the money. Not as loud as my 650, but still..

I think the encloused cab increase the sound at high rpm. When I took the door off the ranger I felt it was more quit (at a warm sunny day).

Thanks RD. Or Fairmont. Norway for sure! (I know you flew over my country once (or twice), probably before I was born. Cold war I guess?).
I think this forum would not have been the same without you.
I wish you all the best as I understand you and your mama (wife I guess) are on the move. All the best to you!

Yeah, I remeber your thread about your new ranger 1000. You went for a new clutch/ECU from the start, right? Gilomen? At this point I dont consider that, altough I see lots of positive coments of that tune. Afraid I loose a little bottom end power? What is your impressions of the machine, and that tune, so far? Might be the wrong forum to discuss this... Itīs my thread though!!
