Update to help with the heat of the engine and Cracked Coolant Hose

Went out for a decent ride this weekend and half way through cracked the coolant hose that sits on the front of the engine. It is the one located about 2 inches from the exhaust. Needless to say, there was no way to fix it so my brother and his Polaris Ranger had to tow me back. Has anyone ever had that happen and does anyone no of a way to field patch something like that.

Interesting find and curious if anyone has done this update or upgrade? It is a heatshield which is great however, these instruction also instruct you drill 1 inch diameter holes under the flooring as well as the firewall to improve air flow into the engine.

So it wasn't a coolant hose? That's good!

No, it was the coolant hose that split. I was just throwing out there the other find I had made regarding the heat shield and modification to the fire wire to increase air flow to the engine.

I bought some silicon bulk hose off ebay and replaced several of mine with that! I carry a couple of feet of hose, and the clamps as well, plus extra coolant. Easy to cut and replace as needed. The drilling of extra holes makes a lot of sense to improve air flow. I did finally find the air deflector kit!
