Front Hub bearings

I have been having a weird sound coming from the front end I mean loud popping noises, I thought for sure front gears were gone so I lifted my prowler in the air and stared it up, shifted in to forward gear no noise,I shifted 4wheel drive on and locked front diff and still no noise. So I took it for a ride and noticed still there, removed right wheel noticed front hub bearing worn out , Has any one replaced there front hub bearings and do I need to use a press to replace front bearings .

Yes I have had to change all corners of mine. Yep press is needed. Oh and some snap ring pliers.

Anytime. Would be real nice of you if you do it to grab some photos to post for the other members. I did not even think about getting pics. when I did it.

kamustang01, your popping sound is eerily like the description I would have given a couple of days before my front diff let go. It would occasionally make a god awful POP but then do allright.

Changed my front bearing last night. Didnt have a press so found a socket like 35mm and fits over the bearing perfect then a block of wood to hit evenly and worked like a charm. Very simple fix
