Mounting Winch at an angle?

Hey Guys. I just got my '08 Prowler 650 in Camo a few weeks ago. I bought a Winch on ebay. It came with a mounting bracket and everything that I needed.

If I were to mount it like it said, one of the wire contacts would have been touching the frame...not good..

I could have moved it over a little, but then it wouldn't be centered in the hole for the wire to come through the front of the Prowler...Which isn't a big deal, but I would have had to drill new holes in the mount.

So I tried mounting it at an angle. Is this going to be OK? It seems to work fine, and it is nice and tight.. but I wasn't sure if it NEEDED to be mounted flat or not.

Attached are a few pics..

Just heard back from VenomOutdoors (ebay seller). They said it's OK to mount at any angle.. So I guess we'll just see how it goes.
Thanks for your input.
