Pitbull tireson HDX

Lookin at puttin the 27.5x11x14on rear 27.5x9x14 on front of the new hdx going with the rocker ubers just having cat check to see if they'll fit and if power steering can handle it. Cross your fingers can't wait to get some snow.

Be careful with heavy tires.

2009 Prowler 700 XTX Walker Evans Shocks,STI Roctane 27/9/14 and 27/11/14 tires,Warn skid plates,Ridgid Ind Prerunner Cage,Home made spare tire carrier,Hids high and low beams,1.5 inch wheel spacers,E Brake Alarm, Rear diff vent mod Etc. NO TURF SAVER!

what concern have they been having with heavy tires my first UTV

Heavy tires are harder on Axles and diffs and take more Horsepower to turn.

are the big horns alot lighter i need a good all around tire mud,snow,rocks and also smooth for wife going down rd and field with boy

Some people may disagree But I have Big horn 2.0s and I am impressed with their performance off road and the sand also their street performance.

Check out the Maxxis Ceros as well. I have them and they are a fairly light 6 ply radial that ride good in most conditions.

I run the Ubers in 26.5 on my XTZ and have no problems with them other than they are spendy $$ .. as to weight they are similar to the original Big Horns and a bit heavier than the BH 2.0's but have a full 8 ply rating v/s a 6 ply on the 2,0's .. IMHO go with your choice as to brand but again MHO stay with the 26.5's [that's only a half inch difference anyway]
i wanted the strength v/s weight as I ride in woods [tree branches poking through] and sharp rock shale

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

that half inch is prob what i need the trails i ride i am just barely hitting must of the rocks more like grazing them. thanks for info now if my darn cab would get off backorder we can start the winter right.
has anyone used these bigger type tires with power steering?

Big heavy tires are not good for anything really. I have had the toughest tires made on my XTZ 1000 and blew the side walls out. I have tested most of the tires on the market and they will all fail given the right situation. Drive somewhat smart and keep proper tire pressures for the given riding conditions and most of the tires available will work for you. Look for the tires that fit your riding style whether it's mud, sand, snow, rocks, hard pack, street, gravel etc..Just tell us what you ride the majority of the time and our feedback may help.

As for the power steering I don't think it's necessary on a Prowler unless you are doing a lot of nasty slow stuff. I just use power to make my car turn better!
