Cool Help Differences with clutch setting.

Hello every one. I'm hoping someone can answer my question so I can get a better understanding of my prowler 1000 xtz clutching. I removed the wet clutching and installed stiffer springs, I put lighter roller weights in and moved the secondary spring to b4 , top speed is like 50 and rpm is 8400 I don't want this drastic of rpm. Let me explain why I did this I ride in the mountains and the machine would bogg on steep hills and bog in the snow, I just wanted a little of a boost from boging. I think the clutch setup I have now is more for mud boggers and hill climbers. I just would like a little bit above stock so it wont bog. How can I accomplish that. Put stock springs back in wet clutch? Leave the lighter rollers in the primary and drop the secondary spring back to b1? What is the effect you get from secondary spring B1 B2 B3 B4? C1 c2 c3 c4? a1 a2 a3 a4? can anyone tell me what is the outcome of all these settings? example b1 give you higher speeds? and if I left the heavier springs in the wet clutch would it just rev quicker? Any advise would be great.

To get what you want you should do one change at a time then ride it.

lol wow you have a mess there ! first off move the secondary back to B2 i think . thats where its recomended i think at b4 its too loose and it opens up too quickly . what roller weights did you put in ? you may need to put in a few of the stock ones if yours are too light . for what your wanting to ride your shift out should be around 6200 to 6500 rpm . the wet clutch springs just raised the engagment rpm of the wet clutch , not sure why youd want that but ok .

B-4 is WAAAYYYY too drastic for a prowler XTZ. the secondary spring is already a stiffer spring in the 1000, clocking it to B-4 generates nearly 5 times more preload than at the stock B-1 position. that is WAAAAYYY to stiff for a lighter roller to overcome. what kit did you buy? and what rollers did it come with? sounds like you got a mudder kit from speedwerx? for you up in high altitude you need one of these two sets of rollers depending on your elevation.

19 gram -- 0823-164
21 gram -- 0823-167

i would drop back down to the B-2 setting at the stiffest on the secondary. B-1 is stock, B-2 is the max i would go with an XTZ
