700 engine updated for 2012

Dealers were sent this lastnight:
ARCTIC CAT 700HI ENGINE IMPROVED FOR 2012
New Cylinder Reduces Vibration and Sound
Arctic Cat engines have power where it matters: the ground. Built in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the
single-cylinder H1 engines have more pulling power, more climbing power and more
acceleration.
For 2012, the race proven 700 H1 engine has been further improved with an all-new cylinder that
has a 50% sound level reduction, resulting in a better customer experience.
Improvements were also made by rechanneling the oil flow in the engine. This was achieved by
retooling the channels and a bearing change on the clutch drum that allowed for increased oil
pressure and flow rate to the heads. These changes made having an oil cooler unnecessary and it
was removed in a running change for the 2012 model year. The powerful 695cc, liquid-cooled,
SOHC, single-cylinder, is designed for a wide torque curve with the smoothest power delivery
via Electronic Fuel Injection and is available in the Utility and Sport Utility ATVs as well as the
Prowler ROVs.
