prowler 650 wont take the throttle??

Hey guys I am new to forum and have just got a 07 650 prowler
that needed a little work. I have done some minor stuff and got
it starting and running. It starts right up even cold but when I get
it running when I press on the throttle it wont take much then it
stumbles and back fires a bit like it is not getting fuel.

Any ideas?

I have fresh gas in tank
put a new plug in it
Pulled carb and cleaned it out (was not very dirty inside)
checked all lines etc

I am out of ideas thinking of taking to dealer unless I can get some
ideas on what to check next. Help me so I dont have to give
the dealer anymore of my hard earned $$$

thanks in advance

Is the choke operation ok?

Have you tried a new spark plug?

How does the old plug look?

Pull air filter and make sure it is not restricted there.

Did you pull the jets out and blast them completely clean? I recently acquired 2 dirt bikes that weren't running and had to pull the jets out 3 times to get them clean and keep them clean. Gunk builds up in all kinds of places and works its way to the jets.

Sorry been quite awhile since I had one of those carbs in my hand.
But it is electric operated, plunger I believe.
Find the choke valve and turn key on and make sure it opens after the key on.

Yes those jet's are a pain to clean all out.
Soak that carb and used compressed air to blow out and visual inspect.

Once the carb gets clean all the junk that get's loosened up find's it's way back into the jets.

Start it with a jumper pack or charger and give it a few amps to make sure it's not a low voltage issue.

Do you have the manual? There is a trouble shooting section for each.
