Coolant - When and What?

In general how often are you guys changing your coolant and what are you using?

Looks like when I had mine in a couple of years ago to have all my fluids (oil, diff, etc) changed PCP Offroad used "Coolanol". I'm planning on doing it myself this time around and was wondering what everybody was using.

(2007 Prowler 650 XT)

Thanks

Coolant change

I've only changed mine when I've done major engine work, but then again, I'm in eastern Canada where on an unusually HOT day it might hit 90. In the winter months we hover around 30.

The service manual for the 2006 suggests replacing the fluid every 2 years. I just use an automotice type, the AC brand costs an arm and a leg.

Thanks for the reply.

It's been two plus years since mine was changed. I'm going to go ahead a go with what the shop put in last time - the Maxima Coolanol.

I imagine its a little cooler where you are compared to Phoenix Arizona
