Belt slipping on 700 xtx

I have a 2012 with 11 hours on it. Yesterday i was in a ditch in high and heard the belt squall. Is there anything i did wrong breaking it in?

I have a 2011 700 XTX and I've had the belt squeal on me at times. The advice that I got, was anytime I'm climbing or doing anything that requires any significant amount of torque, place the transmission in low. Were you pulling something out of the ditch or were your tires spinning? Were you stuck? Again, anytime you need torque, put the trans in low. From my experience, when I do this, I don't get the belt squeal like I do when I'm in high. I hope this works for you!

I was trying to get out of the ditch, and the wheels did spin alittle until the belt slipped. Thanks, i'll remember that.

Whenever I load mine like that either going up steep hills or especially when going through water I always put it in low or else I'll get some belt squeal.

If your loading the machine low range is best. It like taking off in 2 or 3 gear in a manual trans when in hi and a lot of load on the belt.
