Have been driving the Prowler without the turf saver and new rear brake rotor

Well, Ive been putting some miles on the Prowler without the turf saver and with the new brake rotor and I am very pleased with it. It is amazing what a difference it makes and so much nicer to drive.

Good to know! I've been following the thread. I do not have any problems with mine yet, but it is good to know what parts are needed. I have about 1,300 miles on mine, mostly trail riding, with two trips to Silver Lake sand dunes here in Michigan. The turf saver reminds me of a 9" ford posi, always replacing the clutches to keep it working! I got tired of it and went with a Detroit Locker!

Yes that was when you could get a Detroit locker in a Ford the unit the Prowler uses is a Detroit locker. But it stinks.

ill pull that other diff. apart and show you guys pictures of what the inner workings of the turf-saver are.. Arctic-Cat advertises the turf-saver as a detroit locker but from my understanding if it were made by "eaton" thats who makes the detroit.. you would be able to call them and get parts to rebuild them.. not the case, the guy i talked to had no idea what a prowler was and thought arctic cat only made snow machines.

Thanks for the info. I know they sell them for Honda quads under the Detroit Locker name. On another forum read it was a Det Locker. But thanks for the info.
