hi catkid,i dont think i have talked to you before,it would be a toss up if i had the money to spend and was going to ride alot i myself would,it seems like you never know what might go wrong.i would go for it only if your gonna ride alot............just my thought. you will get some more opinions.

I would make sure that extended warranty covers stuff that might actually go wrong. I agree with de3... but I would think about what I'm doing with it. If you mostly trail ride and it cover the usuall tear ups than I would think it would be worth it. But I know alot of extended warranties won't cover stuff breaking due to riding conditions.. only manufacturer defects. I would do a little more investigating on what all it covers before I dropped that much cash. My buddy bought the extended warranty for his Rhino. A year after he bought it he was riding and suddenly his rear end was grinding. He got off and noticed fluid "burping" from the passenger side rear axle seal. The dealer pulled everything and then they checked his axle (per Yamaha). Yamaha decided NOT to cover his rear end because the axle was slightly bent. They said that means.. and I quote "he put unnecessary stress on the machine which ultimately resulted in failure of the rear drive unit". So he paid $1600 for an extended warranty and 1 year later $1300 to have his rear end rebuilt. Sorry to be so long winded... just wanted to give you something to think about so you can get some more info!

Sounds excessive in price to me especially for only two years. But I haven't purchased new. So don't know an average cost.
