weekend with boys 2013

We did are annual weekend with the boys trip last weekend. we put on 150 miles the first day. The day was wonderful -2c sunny just a great day to be out. We arrived at my brothers cabin around 430 pm on Saturday. We pulled around the cabin and when I looked back my buddies sled was on. I have never moved that fast in my life to get away from it. We were lucky it could still start to get it away from the cabin and not talk out any of the other machines around. He drove it to the road and we put the fire out with snow. So after that not to ruin the weekend they came up with a plan to go pick up his other sled from his house 2hr away. We loaded it on a trailer then had dinner then they drove home and came back at 1230am. Sorry no pictures of it because of insurance. They look everywhere. So problem number two the next day one of the guys tried to start his sled and it loaded up with gas(hydro locked) Cylinders and pipe full of gas. He managed to drain it and get it going but had to shut his gas valve off every time we stopped for a break.(something wrong there) maybe sticking needle. That day we rode to bird river for lunch and the snow started. It was heavy snow which they needed. By the time we got back to the big water it had stopped. problem number three. I lost a boogie wheel on the trail back to the cabin. (bearing went) Not a big deal just an inside one already bought new ones to replace them. We fueled before returning for supper. Great steak dinner my brother made. The next day we packed up and headed home we call it picture day. We ride to a spot by an old power dam and take a picture of our event. On our way home one of the guys was on call and got a call from his VP. He looked a bit stressed because we are in the middle of the bush with spotty cell and data coverage cell service. And this is the company he works for. LOL We were a mile from home and the storm started there was a white out when we had to cross the highway. I looked one way I could see 200 feet maybe and the other way maybe 50 feet tops. so we crossed one at a time when we thought it was clear. We rode next to the road in a field because you just could not see any thing. My buddies behind me said you just disappeared in the snow. But we made it home had a nice rib and chicken dinner prepared by my wife and after dinner we sat in the hot tub for a bit well a couple hours. LOL
