Unhappy Prowler Mirrors

Side mirror options for Prowler 700 XTX (2009) seems to be limited. Rectangular tube frame limits purchase options. Anybody have sources for mirror kits?

Those would work great. You definitely want something that will fold back just in case you find yourself on a tight, brushy trail or else they get busted off.

09 Prowler 700 XTX, Dynatek FS cdi and coil kit, Maxxis Bighorns, Warn 3500 lb winch, factory windshield/wiper and roof, Trail Armor doors, cage chopped 4", BEARD rear bench seat w/ 4 point harnesses, custom built extended cage. Rockford Fosgate RFX9400 marine stereo, Scosche 6.5' 3-way speakers in custom built overhead console and MB Quart NAU260 marine amplifier. Cobra CB. Sunpro volt, oil pressure and water temp gauges. Custom gauge plate built by RD. Peel 7 Seal lined doghouse.

I was using my phone when I posted the first ebay link, didn't seem to work for me when I tried it again. Here's another set of mirrors that fold in and looks like it wouldn't be hard to make some straps to fit the old cage style.

Here's a link to the first mirrors in case the other one doesn't work.

I used a 3 1/2 " Stud Mounted round mirror on my Prowler. It has a 1/4 - 20 threaded stud. I used 1/4 20 Nutserts in the cage. I have a factory windshield, and top and the mirror is mounted near the top and is protected by the cage. While the mirror is small it is easy to see behind you on both sides. I used it this winter for plowing and it worked great for backing up. I installed it last year after a trip to the sand dunes, people are all over you! I was passed on both sides, and it was impossible to track others without being able to see your sides! Best of all, they were $10.00 each

I have about the same mirror as RD .. only I used a larger L bracket and attached them on the inside of the roll bar upper windshield bracket in the unused threaded holes .. went to hardware store and matched the thread size [was metric IIRC ] used stainless so no rust issues as I pressure wash it regularly ..

bought the mirrors at a Home & Ranch supply called Big R and they were also $10.00 ea. bought 2 spares just in case I wiped them off in heavy brush at that price how can ya go wrong .. mine work GREAT also

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Big R

Stopped at a Big R in Shelby MT last year. They have everything in there from cowboy duds to guns to home veterinary supplies! I almost had a heart attack at the border coming back tho. Did anyone else know that it's illegal to export ammo from the US without a permit? It wasn't a problem bringing it into Canada. A bummer as they were out of the expen$ive .45, but got a swack of other stuff...
