well boys , im putting this out there , this would be a great chance for someone to swap out a one lunger for a 1000 with alot of extras .heres the deal .
included will be a complete late model xtz motor , the short block assembly was replaced 46.8 miles ago by my local dealer under warranty . they reused the cylinders, heads and all top end . they did a piss poor job installing the wet clutch seal and i had to install a new seal collar and oring . in this 46 miles the secondary clutch shaft has stuck in the transmission and will not float in and out like it should to align the belt . this causes the primary moving clutch to stick and the belt to slip . from everything me and several others have determined the trans will need to be opened up and the shaft repaired or replaced . we suspect a faulty shaft or a bur on it causing it to stick on the bearing . it spins free just wont float in and out . it has also caused some slight damage to the helix from ginding on the inner cover . im torn between selling this AS IS or having it repaired . no idea on cost yet .... if i fix it the price will reflect cost of repairs . the engine runs strong and no abnormal noise , and it hasnt burned a drop of oil since the motor was replaced .
my local dealer is unwilling to do anything about this since the short block was installed under warranty and it has since expired before this problem happened . truth be told this past year has put and extremely bad taste in my mouth for this dealers service . or lack of . and thats a whole other story.
im am buried financialy in this machine an selling the complete car is not a option . my plans are to repower it completely . more on that later
