What type and brand does everyone carry? Where did you mount them. Just thinking I should have one, you never know if you or your buddy is going to need it.

UTV CRAP has some pretty nice mounts so they prob have everything.

+1 UTV Inc. has a nice set up that comes with mount and extinguisher. Good stuff.

What size clamp do I need for the round tube on the back of the cage, 1-3/4? Do you have any pics of yours?

This is the only pic I have and it's not a good close up. UTV Inc. made this for me before they CNC'd their new parts. The one they sell on their website is much nicer then mine. Call Nick at UTV Crap and he will hook you up.

I just picked up one from the local Mills Fleet Farm, comes with the mount and then used self tapping screws to go into the cage behind the passenger seat.

I have under $15.00 invested if memory serves correctly and it hasn't moved in over 900 miles.

Just be sure to open the box to see how it locks in place as they have different set ups. This one has a pin that goes in the top and I had to put some rubber stops on to be safe that it wouldn't vibrate out. I should have found one that has a strap that goes through the middle of the extinguisher.

Or a guy can use Halon and not have any residual effects of the powder type .. they are on the expensive side but in reality save $$ as they don't foul and load up the entire engine / motor area and everything in the next 100 miles with powder that is damaging to the internal engine .. they don't sell it in stores anymore unless it's a race shop for automatic/manual spray systems.

then get a set of UTV inc.'s brackets for mounting on a tube frame or a company that unfortunately can't remember the name but it something like Litegrip has a set also [they also make a trick rollbar billet flashlite holder ... i'll ponder that one and get a link for you

What was your thinking putting it on the right side? I was thinking mounting mine on the left side so I could grab it quicker.

I was worried about my helmet/head hitting it, my seats are adjustable so the passenger one sits up away from the cage further. Plus it's not the far of a reach.
