parking brake

my parking brake stopped working, tore into the system it is almost too basic. i appears the brake cable is just a little to long creating a crimp and will not engage the pawl on the teeth. the dealer says there is only one length have others had this problem and how did you fix it. i am thinking just a shorter piece of aircraft cable but want some other ideas first.

Yep same one just different name. However cb is on west cost and usually shipping from them is pricey. Anyone reading this there are a lot of people that sell them I would just try and get someone that is a close as possible to help with shipping and handling.

The hydrolic parking brake is not perfect also, I have one on my sand car and I use to lock it when towing and one time it wouldn't realice, I had to bleed the brake pressure to get it to realice. Not fun.

im concidering putting rear brakes on my xtz since there are mounts on the rear spindles for another set of calipers. il mount another master cyl and pedal that way if im going into a corner abit hot i can lay on the rear brake and back er into the corner dirt track style.il mount that park loc on that brake circuit and that way i dont interfear with the factory system.
