One of the reasons we have a Prowler is because of the helmet law. We sold our two Arctic Cat 400 4X4 quads but still have our helmets. I guess we will need them after January. Not in Baja!!!!!!

depends on the ride , if fire roads only, no I don't ... but if it's going to be a "betcha can't do that ride" then yes .... but I have also added 1.75" DOM tubing to my roll cage from the rear rollover to the front rollover on the outside [both sides] as I didn't like just the X-brace in the middle leaving the out sides exposed to what ever, like trees and big azz rocks .. also welded in a 1.75"x3.5" box tube from side to side behind the seats for seat belt attachments with also added much strength to the rear rollover bar.

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Same here depends on what kind of ride I am doing. I feel pretty well protected 75% of the time with this massive cage around me.

2009 Prowler XTZ 1000 with a few modifications. Needs paint & powder coating.

I never wear a helmet when I ride my Polaris utility quad. So I doubt I'll wear a helmet in my Prowler. But then again my riding will be mainly for hunting and mountain trail riding. When I had my Raptor 660 ATV for fun, I always wore a helmet but the riding style with it was a lot different.....

Name: Shane

-2011 Polaris RZR-4 800 (SOLD)
-1999 Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV
-2006 AC Prowler 650XT (SOLD)-- updated bevel gears, updated oil pump driven gear, 4 wheel disc brakes, line lock E-brake, Papa Slap clutch, Xentec HID's, Dynatek CDI, Warn skid plates, Intellitronix gauges, 2010 intake/cvt duct work and dust shield, RZR seats, Bestop folding windshield, full cab kit, rear cage and rear seats (4 seater)

When I can find the time to ride I wear mine and I just bought a new arctic cat helmet, scott goggles and a wolf snout for my wife as part of her birthday gifts that's coming up.

Even my spell check wants to replace "Obama"!

ok...isnt this a hash of an old old thread Seth? lol...of course i always wear one. Simpson Sand warrior all the way!

One of the issues that people never think about is the cage. Go ahead and hit something or roll over and see what your head hits inside the cat...i promise it will hurt. I hit my head 3 times on the cage when i rolled, and i moved the cage out 3 inches when i built it to accommodate for head movement.. lucky for my helmet!!

Course i dont care if you wear one or not..its your right.
