Desert Bloom Rally



This is a fun, family, ATV/ UTV event in historic Quartzsite, AZ. Once known for mining, this town now is a mecca for vacationers looking for great winter weather.

I'll pass this on to my snowbird friends who are in Parker area [Boush sp? IIRC ] and avid riders along with their friends from many states.

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

That is where we rode! Yup, had snow the second day (New Years Day)! Weather looks better now!

2009 700EFI XTX, , AC Winch, 2010 Dust Shield EPI Sport Utility Clutch Kit , Street Legal, Cage chopped 2 ", Aluminum Diamond Plate Trim, Relocated Factory Bladders with covers, 5 Pt. Harness installed, Bed Tiedown System, Scat Pro-Car Seats, Secondary Battery installed, Oil Pressure, Oil/CVT Temperature, Volt Meter & Water Temp Gauges installed with Dash Plate, Bighorns, ITP Black 212 Wheels. Tonneau cover. 750 Big Bore Kit, Web Cam, and Rocker Arms.

Great riding, lots of rocks though! Trails were very good, some climbing, but nothing really bad, dust was light. We were driving the Rhino on that day (450), and I was driving it like we stole it to keep up! Damn we put that machine through hell, bottomed out many times! Switched to the RZR on the way back, ride was much better!

what size rzr was it,i'm sure the rzr rode better,does your prowler ride better than the rhino......

Prowler rides much better than the Rhino (it was pretty well used up), the RZR was a 900 with great shocks on it, really smoothed out the ride. I need to upgrade my suspension to fully reach the potential of my Prowler. I like to dirt track it, but I'm afraid I'll lay it over with the stock suspension.

Always lots of rocks in the deserts of AZ. That is what makes it fun.
