I Have a 2006 sxs 650 prowler, and the drive shaft broke and I need it fixed

I saw an output shaft for a 650 on ebay. Looks like a complete motor teardown to change one.

2009 700EFI XTX, , AC Winch, 2010 Dust Shield EPI Sport Utility Clutch Kit , Street Legal, Cage chopped 2 ", Aluminum Diamond Plate Trim, Relocated Factory Bladders with covers, 5 Pt. Harness installed, Bed Tiedown System, Scat Pro-Car Seats, Secondary Battery installed, Oil Pressure, Oil/CVT Temperature, Volt Meter & Water Temp Gauges installed with Dash Plate, Bighorns, ITP Black 212 Wheels. Tonneau cover. 750 Big Bore Kit, Web Cam, and Rocker Arms.

Either - Dick or RD

I agree with fairmont complete motor overhaul,2 option's you can rebuild or buy a updated new motor complete for under 3000 dollars how many miles on your machine,that main shaft is what your bevel gears run on,they did have several problems with them,now you can get up-dated parts,I think a lot of the failures are the abuse some people put the machines through.

It is an easy fix, however, it is somewhat time consuming to repair since you have to take the whole motor apart. But still can be done in a day if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.

I was afraid to rebuild my motor at first, but lack of finances helped push me in that direction. After doing it, I was surprised at how easy it really was. The service/repair manual is pretty good. So I try to encourage others not to be afraid of it.....
