2009 prowler xtx 700 issues

Hey guys justin here from nh I got a 2009 xtx 700 and I'm having issues with the gauge cluster. Back light is on but no readings of anything else. Pulled cluster because it had moisture in it dried it out still doesn't work and it's causing the machine to go into a limp mode if you will. Won't go over 25 bounces off rev limiter. Any ideas? New cluster or is there a way to bypass it to get it out of limp mode

Welcome to the site. Cluster would be hard to bypass. I'll look at a wiring diagram as I have the same machine. Clusters seem to be different from year to year. If you don't have a manual, you can download one at K&T lawn equipment. Clean all of the connections and try it again, who knows maybe luck will be on your side!

Looked at the wiring, only wire I traced back that may limit RPM is the Blue & White from the override switch. Disconnect your battery and see if the cluster will clear. There is another post on here regarding EFI Codes that may, or may not help!

Let us know how it worked out! Too bad someone doesn't repair the clusters!
